Although the medal itself was never physically struck, this coin featuring a modern interpretation of Pistrucci’s reverse design has been made using moulds of his original dies, which are held in The Royal Mint Museum.
Pistrucci’s obverse design for the medal features portraits of the allied leaders at its centre, where they are encircled by classical cameo compositions symbolising the battle.
The reverse of the medal depicts two equestrian figures at its centre, bearing the features of the Duke of Wellington and General Blücher galloping towards glory, as they are guided by the figure of a flying Victory.
